About The Listening Room by J. Fields™
The Listening Room by J. Fields brings people together around a full album on vinyl. Put your phone away, settle into the music, and make space for what it brings up.
Every Listening Room centers on one album, heard in full on vinyl. The gathering begins with time to arrive, settle in, and connect. During playback, phones are put away and conversation pauses so everyone can listen.
After the music, there is space to journal before Joshua guides a shared reflection. You can contribute to the conversation or simply listen.
Featured Visual Artist — Jay Fennell
Jayden Fennell is a Washington State–based, self-taught artist whose work explores identity, transformation, and the tension between the selves we present and the ones we carry within.
Working across portraiture and abstraction, her practice moves between refinement and rawness, capturing both the composed exterior shaped by perception and the freer, more intuitive inner self beneath the surface.
Through layered textures, visible marks, and intentionally unfinished elements, Jayden embraces imperfection as a reflection of growth and ongoing self-discovery. Her work aligns closely with the theme of Becoming, offering a visual language for identity as something fluid, evolving, and never singular.
