Portrait of Becoming moves through the many versions of who we are.
Across visual art, wearable design, and sound, the artists in this exhibition explore identity as layered, shifting, and never singular. Each work offers a distinct perspective, shaped by different histories, mediums, and ways of seeing, yet existing together within a shared space.
Faces blur, forms evolve, garments reimagined, and sound carries what words cannot. What emerges is not one narrative, but many, intersecting, contrasting, and unfolding in real time.
The space becomes a living portrait, one that reflects the multiplicity of who we are, and who we are still becoming. Not who we were. Not yet who we’ll be.

Jayden Fennell
Visual Artist
Jayden Fennell is a Washington State–based, self-taught artist whose work explores identity, transformation, and the tension between the selves we present and the ones we carry within.
Working across portraiture and abstraction, her practice moves between refinement and rawness, capturing both the composed exterior shaped by perception and the freer, more intuitive inner self beneath the surface.
Through layered textures, visible marks, and intentionally unfinished elements, Jayden embraces imperfection as a reflection of growth and ongoing self-discovery. Her work aligns closely with Portrait of Becoming, offering a visual language for identity as something fluid, evolving, and never singular.
